Meet Dr. Sterling Féliz
Medical specialist in gastroenterology, bariatric endoscopy, endoscopic ultrasonography and internal medicine. Medical graduate from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo, honorable mention cum laude.
I have experience in endoscopic obesity surgery (Endosleeve by POSE method, OverStitch, TORe, ROSE, intragastric balloons). With more than 10 years of experience in public and private hospitals. I worked and trained in advanced endoscopic procedures in Spain.
I started my professional practice in 2010 as a general practitioner; specialist doctor in Santo Domingo from 2016-2019 and in Spain from 2019 to 2022 as an advanced endoscopist and bariatric endoscopist.
I am a member of the European Society of Digestive Endoscopy (ESGE), the Spanish Society of Digestive Endoscopy (SEED) and the Spanish Working Group for the Endoscopic Treatment of Metabolism and Obesity (GETTEMO). At the local level, he is a member of the Dominican Society of Gastroenterology and the Dominican Medical College.
Organizer, speaker and assistant in multiple national and international academic events, I have published in scientific journals and congresses nationally and internationally.
I have experience as a university professor (O&Med Medical School) and instructor in national and international conferences on endoscopic techniques (Hands on) and Bariatric endoscopy in Spain (ENBARNA 2021 and 2022).
Skills in multiple advanced endoscopic techniques: endoscopic sleeve using the POSE 2.0 technique, double balloon enteroscopy, endoscopic resection, endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic gastroplasty with overstich, advanced training in optical diagnosis of preneoplastic lesions, ERCP, advanced therapeutics in conventional gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
